Nikki is Digital Strategy Director at St Luke’s. She has a wealth of creative and media experience in planning and strategy on brands including; Diageo, Kellogg’s, Arla and The Royal Navy. She has a self-confessed curious nature with a love for consumer insight and helping create great ideas.
She co-founded dawn which runs quarterly events and is dedicated to inspiring and developing women across the digital industry to fulfill their potential as people and professionals. Nikki’s work and talents have been well rewarded and recognised; she is the Winner of Women of Tomorrow awards 2016 (strategy category), Winner of 2015 WACL Future Leaders award and Drum winner 30 under 30 2011.
Founder & Director, Agostinho Consulting Ltd
Cat has 16 years' international experience in Digital media & marketing. Cat started her career at MGOMD, before moving to Aus to work at two digital agencies. Returning to the UK in 2004, Cat joined Starcom where she was selected as a Marketing Week Rising Star and as one of Mediaweek’s 30 under 30. In 2010, Cat moved to OMD to become the Digital Planning Director and in 2013, Cat became OMD's Head of Digital Experience.
In 2016, Cat decided to set up her own business and launched Agostinho Consulting Ltd. Cat now works on a consultative basis with Brands, Agencies, Media Owners & Publishers.
In 2018, Cat was selected as a finalist for Campaign and IPA's Women of Tomorrow awards.
Cat is a co-founder of dawn and leads the Events team within the committee. She is hugely passionate about dawn and its development and is excited about the future for the network.
Associate Director, 6 Degrees Talent Digital
Kim Hodgkiss (nee Knapman) started her career in Sales and Marketing 15 years ago working for an international B2B marketing agency running integrated BTL campaigns where she gained her first experience in digital - managing webinar campaigns and microsite builds, progressing to running Amazon's first digital advertising campaign in the UK and Germany.
From here Kim joined Propel London in 2007 where she built from scratch their clientside team. Moving as Associate Director to 6 Degrees Talent Digital with the responsibility for recruiting top digital talent for renowned house hold brands, fast growing start-ups, digital native companies and media owners alike.
Kim's digital network is extensive and her personal and professional development is front of mind to ensure she manages and develops her team to their full potential.
Kim is a founding member of dawn and is hugely passionate about the support, resource and shared knowledge dawn provides to its network.
Product Compliance Director, Unruly
Kelly has more than 20 years experience in the media and technology sector. Starting her career agency side at Mindshare, PHD and Vizeum, Kelly then spent 10 years at Microsoft where she was responsible for overseeing new content deals and license agreements for Microsoft platforms. This was followed by a spell at Guardian News & Media as Strategic Digital Partnerships Manager and Director of Partnership Development at AR and VR specialists, Spinview.
Kelly joined Unruly in 2018, where she works with Unruly’s development team to deliver projects on budget and without breaking laws.
Kelly has felt passionate about advancing women and girls since university. She co-founded the dawn after gaining experience building the UK arm of Women at Microsoft and sitting on the global council. Kelly also works with the NCT to provide coaching for parents returning to the workplace after maternity leave or career breaks.
Head of Marketing
Joanna started her career in planning at pioneering digital agencies i-level and creative agency Poke. There she developed and implemented strategic digital growth campaigns for businesses such as LOVEFiLM, Orange/EE and Skype. In 2013 Joanna moved to the Arcadia Group where she was responsible for the creative output and driving digital performance and named as one of The Drum’s 30 under 50 in 2014.
In 2016 Joanna moved into digital and marketing consultancy, working with a range of brand and ecommerce SME and start-up businesses. In 2017 Joanna joined the Ambassador Theatre Group as Head of Marketing.
Talent Attraction & Culture Specialist, Oddschecker
Claire started her career in the legal industry and after deciding that wasn't quite for me, moved into digital recruitment as a Consultant with Propel. Focusing on marketing for Propels media owner market which covers both publishing and broadcasting. In 2016 Claire moved to Oddschecker.
With a personal interest in digital Claire’s role allows her to learn more about how businesses in the digital space grow.
As a longstanding supporter of the dawn events Claire has been a member of the steering committee since 2015.
Agency Partner for OMD, Oath
Whilst at University Melissa undertook a 12 month placement at Microsoft, within the Server and Tools Business Group. After graduating from the University of Gloucestershire in 2013, with a First Class Marketing and Advertising Degree, Melissa quickly found her way back to Microsoft into the Advertising side of the business.
Establishing her career as an Account Manager in the display advertising division working with strategic clients and agencies, Melissa was inspired by the changes to Microsoft’s Search business so joined the newly formed team, watching it grow from 5 to 50 people.
Most recently, in order to expand her media knowledge and skillset, Melissa has moved to the recently established Oath business, where she is working as an Agency Partner for OMD.
Georgie began her career as a Sales intern at Nestlé whilst studying for her degree in Business Management. After graduating from Cardiff University, she returned to Nestlé to join the Graduate Scheme. Throughout sales and marketing roles, she developed a passion for digital marketing, and went on to the role of Digital Marketing and CRM Manager for Nestlé Professional after completing the scheme.
From the world of coffee and chocolate, she then moved on to pizza! Having started her career in a large multinational organisation, she wanted to experience a more entrepreneurial environment, and moved to Franco Manca, where she currently works as Marketing Manager.

Julia Smith is Founder of www.digitaltradingconsultancy.co.uk, a Digital Consultancy specialising in digital communications, PR, event management, digital strategy, corporate voiceovers, sales training and marketing; expert knowledge in brand safety, fraud prevention, ethical trading, programmatic trading, and ad trading.
She started her career in digital advertising at Dennis Publishing 24 years ago and has been at the heart of the changing digital media landscape ever since.
Julia has held major commercial roles both agency and media side including Associated Newspapers, The Mirror Group Newspapers, Dennis Publishing, Harvest Digital, IAB, Nexus Business Media and UPC Media.
Julia also works with The 614 Group team on the Brand Safety Summit Series in London and New York, and is a co-founder of SPILL - Sober Party Industry Lads and Ladies which was set up for people who work in the digital ad industry who've said no to alcohol or wish to be a mindful drinker.
Group Agency Director
Joni has 18 years media experience across both traditional and digital media. Joni’s formative years were in Cinema, where she worked for over 8 wonderful years, and progressed from an Account Manager to a Trading Director and Agency Group Head. Despite a huge passion for film, Joni recognised the need to diversify her skill set, and in 2014 moved to Microsoft Advertising. The next 3 years of her career was a period of great change, and huge personal development, as Microsoft merged with AOL, and just 18 months later AOL merged with Yahoo to form Oath. Joni was an integral part of leading this integration, and managing large teams through period of change. Most recently she joined Hearst in 2018, leading a team that sell across 25 amazing brands.
Outside of work Joni has 2 beautiful daughters, who she is forever making costumes for or helping support their endless hobbies and clubs.
